Batthyány-örökmécses

Business Details
Batthyány-örökmécses (or Batthyány Lajos-örökmécses) is a monument standing in the V. district of Budapest, on the square formed by the intersection of Báthory utca and Hold utca.

On October 6, 1849, Count Lajos Batthyány (1807–1849), Hungary's first responsible prime minister, was executed in this place - in the courtyard of the former New Building.

The candelabrum is inside a purple glass cup placed in a bronze holder, which rests on a three-step plinth. The lantern is 180 centimeters tall and stands on 4 feet.
